FAQs

• How do I place an order?

  Most of our delivery clients call to place the order as we can help walk them through the process and/or make suggestions based on their needs. You may also download our order form and submit via email or fax.

• Do you have an order minimum?

  Yes, for local deliveries, on lunch and dinner orders, there is a 10 person minimum on cold buffets and 15 on for local deliveries. For breakfasts, there is a 15 person minimum on continental style and 20 on hot. Some Bay Area cities require a minimum dollar amount (ie $500 for Emeryville, $1,000 for San Francisco, etc) which we will be happy to share at time of inquiry.

• How do you handle count guarantees and increases on delivery orders?

  If order is placed more than one week in advance, an approximate count is needed when the order is placed. A Minimum Guarantee is required when the order is within one week. Although this number may not be reduced, you may add to it until 48 hours prior to delivery.

• How much lead time do you need?

  While we appreciate a 3-5 day notice which is also best to insure availability, we can often accommodate requests in less. We know that sometimes unexpected meetings and events arise so if you have a last minute emergency within 24 hours, do call. If you can be somewhat flexible in terms of delivery time and menu selection (as we would be limited to product on hand), we will do our best to accommodate you.

• How much is delivery?

  Delivery charges are dictated by location, access and number of guests. The delivery and setup charges for most locations within Alameda County and the Tri-Valley are in the $30-45 range. Deliveries before 7:00 am or after 6:00 pm will also incur a production fee and certain minimums may apply. We will definitely quote your delivery charge at time of proposal.

• What is included on a delivery?

  Compostable dinnerware(plates, utensils, napkins), paper buffet table cover, serving utensils are included on all buffets. We will set up the food buffet style and leave with client responsible for any replenishment and cleanup.

• What is your cancellation policy?

  In order to insure the highest quality available, every Miraglia Catering event is prepared to order. We have no way to re-use your food; therefore a 48 hour cancellation notice is required for delivery and setup events. (Staffed events require considerably more notice and cancellation fees are charged as a % based on when the cancellation was made in relation to the event date.)
